WisBusiness: Cherry Electrical Products to terminate 150 workers starting July 7

Cherry Electrical Products has notified the state Department of Workforce Development that it plans to lay off nearly 150 workers at its plant at 11200 88th Ave. in Pleasant Prairie.

The 52-year-old firm said the terminations will be permanent and we be completed between July 7 and July 21.

According to the firm’s Web site, it has 3,900 employees working at nine factories around the world and $400 million in annual sales. It makes computer keyboards, snap-action and rocker switches, magnetic sensors and controls, and automotive modules.
