MILWAUKEE – FCC Commissioner Michael Copps will headline the 9th Annual Midwestern Telecommunications & Technology Conference April 4 at Marquette University.

Following Copps’ federal perspective, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Chief Information Officer Randy Gschwind will speak on the Milwaukee Wireless Initiative and its potential to become a national model for municipalities seeking to join the wireless race.

Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker and Public Policy Forum President Jeff Browne will kick off the morning conference. Dan Cusik, regional manager of Wireless Advanced Technology Cisco Systems, Inc., will end the conference with a presentation on the technical components of a wireless network.

The conference is presented by Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., Public Policy Forum, and Marquette University.
