FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MADISON, Wis. (February 28, 2006) – Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation (WECC) recently received the Outstanding Program Ally award at the Solutions for Success Affordable Comfort Conference in New York. WECC won the award from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for its Energy Finance Solutions (EFS) service that offers financing for energy efficient home improvements.

The award is given by NYSERDA to an organization that provides extensive outreach and support to New Yorkers about residential energy efficiency, health, safety and affordability.

“We’ve developed a strong partnership with NYSERDA, administering a loan program that can help their customers with the upfront costs of high efficiency equipment and home weatherization,” said Janet Brandt, executive director of WECC. “We’re really honored to be recognized by the state of New York – one of the leaders in energy efficiency programs.”

Established in 1996, EFS is a division of WECC. For more information about WECC or EFS, call 800.969.9322 or visit weccusa.org or energyfinancesolutions.com.
