UW-Stout: Plans 28th Annual Career Conference

Menomonie , Wis. —An anticipated 250-300 employers will visit University of Wisconsin-Stout during the 28th annual Career Conference to be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 3, 4 and 5, in the university’s Memorial Student Center. Sponsored by the Career Services office, this is arguably the largest and longest-running conference of its kind in the Midwest .

Employers will attend the three-day conference to talk to students about possible full-time careers, co-ops or internships, and summer jobs.

Although each day of the conference will feature different employers and target different majors, everyone is encouraged to attend all three days.

Tuesday, Oct. 3, will be for students in applied mathematics/computer science, applied science, engineering technology, graphic communications management, industrial management, information technology management, manufacturing engineering, packaging, and technical communications.

Wednesday, Oct. 4, will be for students in apparel design/manufacturing, art and design, general business administration, human development and family studies, psychology, retail merchandising and management, school psychology, vocational rehabilitation and all education majors.

Thursday, Oct. 5, will be for students in construction, dietetics, food systems and technology, golf enterprises, hotel restaurant and tourism management, and service management.

If community members are seeking full-time professional positions, they are encouraged to participate in the career conference.
