TSA Names New Federal Security Director for Dane County Regional Airport

MADISON, Wis., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire/ — The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced today that Jane Hemberger has been named federal security director (FSD) at Dane County Regional Airport (MSN). As FSD, Hemberger will oversee all TSA security operations at Dane County Airport.


“Jane is a tremendous asset to TSA in Madison,” said Michael J. Restovich, TSA assistant administrator for Security Operations. “Her extensive background and experience in the aviation industry make her the ideal person for this position.”


Hemberger has served as the acting federal security director (FSD) at MSN since May 2005. Before serving as the acting FSD, she was the assistant federal security director for Regulatory Compliance. Before joining the agency, she worked for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Minneapolis. Just prior to the formation of TSA, Hemberger served as the FAA’s interim federal security representative in Madison and was instrumental in establishing all TSA operational and support infrastructure during the federalization of security screening.


Hemberger also has more than 11 years of experience in the airline industry with TWA and Trans States Regional Airlines. She served as station manager, regional manager and manager of Contracts and Station Support based out of St. Louis and Madison, Wis. She is a graduate of the Madison Business College.
