Entertainment at booth credited for raffle success
MADISON , Wis. (September 11, 2006) – Three lucky raffle winners were awarded a brand new Limited Edition U2 Video iPod retailing at $329 each at the Taste of Madison this past Sunday. The raffle, sponsored by the PodShop, Inc., raised a total of $3,172 benefiting the local chapter of United Cerebral Palsy.
Helping to draw attention to the raffle, the PodShop hosted five Madison DJ’s at their booth throughout the weekend: Nick Nice , Jeremy Thomas, DJ El Niche, Dr. Jonez and DJ Scrump Boogz. The music provided the backdrop for the iPod Dancers who held spontaneous dance-off competitions emulating the iPod commercials to packed crowds.

United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Dane County has advanced the independence of individuals with disabilities since 1956. As the agency celebrates its 50th anniversary, over 800 individuals receive services annually. Initially the agency’s focus was cerebral palsy, however UCP now also supports those with epilepsy, Down syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injury and delays in speech, mobility or development.
