The Growth Equation: Free Newsletter Aims to Help Small to Midsized Companies with Growth

MILWAUKEE, WI, May 9, 2006 – Three individual who spent their careers driving growth in multiple industries and companies of all sizes have collaborated to produce a free email newsletter on business growth. The Growth Equation newsletter is written specifically for executives at small to midsize companies who are responsible for the growth of their company.

Executives who subscribe receive, several times per month, a valuable lesson on such topics as innovation, marketing, and strategy. Upon sign-up, they also receive a 10-page mini- course titled: The Breakthrough Formula for Business Growth.

Over the last 30 years, most management training has been focused on how to reduce costs (e.g., lean manufacturing, eliminating the bottom 10% of employees), increase quality (TQM, Six Sigma), and improve efficiencies (reengineering, speed-focused initiatives). Today, a majority of companies have gained most of the benefits possible through these initiatives so they no longer provide a means to create sustainable competitive advantage. Innovation, marketing, and strategy, the primary topics covered in this newsletter, are the only remaining ways to distinguish a company in the marketplace.

Allen Oelschlaeger, one of the contributors to The Growth Equation newsletter, said “It is critical that executives at small to midsized companies become experts in the factors that drive growth. We created this newsletter to share our knowledge in this area.”
