NEW Capital Fund: Venture Capital Fund Invests in Green Bay Business

NEW Capital Fund, LP has committed to invest $270,000 in Frozen Codebase, LLC; a Green Bay company dedicated to design, program, and license video game software to the video gaming industry. The company will market its products to the major game publishers such as Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.

Frozen Codebase president Benjamin Geisler has previously worked at major game studios such as Raven Software, Madison, WI and Radical Entertainment, Vancouver, B.C. Geisler currently is the Lead Games Instructor at ITT Technical Institute, Green Bay. The video design company will initially employ six programmers and designers and will serve as a possible conduit for ITT Digital Entertainment and Game Design program graduates.

The company is located in the Advance Business Development Center incubator which is part of the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College campus.

“This company is a perfect fit for the profile of the type of entrepreneurial ventures we are looking for in the new incubator,” says Lori Ritter, Program Manager with Advance. “Ben’s group is a collection of fine minds from around the country coming to the Green Bay area to live, work, and grow a technology company; it’s the ideal business incubation scenario,” Ritter adds.

NEW Capital Fund, LP is a private equity limited partnership headquartered in Appleton, WI with nearly $10 million of committed capital. The NEW Capital Fund has 76 investors and focuses on investing in early-stage companies in northeast Wisconsin that have the potential for rapid growth.
