Murphy Desmond S.C.: Swapna Deshpande Joins the Law Firm

Madison, WI – Swapna Deshpande has joined the law firm of Murphy Desmond S.C. as an associate attorney in the practice areas of bankruptcy, business law and civil litigation.


Deshpande joined the firm initially as a law clerk in 2005. Prior to working at Murphy Desmond, Deshpande was a law clerk in the Office of Governor Jim Doyle. She also interned with Chief Justice Michael Nowakowski of the Dane County Circuit Court and in the Division of Legal Services of the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Deshpande has volunteered through the University of Wisconsin (UW) Law School’s Unemployment Law Clinic. She earned her bachelors degree from Haverford College in 2003 and her law degree from the UW Law School in May 2006.
