Madison Non-Profit Produces Song to Spur Donations to Goodwill

 Goodwill Industries of South Central
Wisconsin has launched a new multimedia campaign to bring awareness to the
organization’s mission. The “Give” campaign stands out with an original song,
performed by national artist Willy Porter, that focuses on the Goodwill
message of giving to communities so the community can give back.

“I thought, what a great opportunity to do something good for a community
that I’ve spent a lot of time in,” said Willy Porter. “The community supported
me so I thought it was a good idea to give something back.”

“The Give Song” is part of a comprehensive campaign created by Knupp &
Watson. It features a commercial, filmed inside one of the Madison area
Goodwill stores, that highlights Goodwill’s employment and housing programs.
The campaign’s radio ad features a 60 second version of “The Give Song” and
is playing on area radio stations.

Knupp & Watson also created the website, www.giveyourgoodwill.org, to
provide users the ability to donate to Goodwill through PayPal(R). The site
also allows visitors to see the television commercial and a behind-the-scenes
video.

The “Give” campaign is intended to raise awareness of Goodwill and increase
donations to the organization, which creates affordable housing and job
opportunities for people with disabilities, and improves the communities of
south central Wisconsin.

“We felt it was a compelling way to tell the story through a song. Everyone
can relate to music,” said Barbara Leslie, President and CEO of Goodwill
Industries of South Central Wisconsin. “The words struck all of us to the
core.”

The “Give” campaign radio and television commercials will run through the
week of December 11, 2006, during which time a three-minute full-length
version of “The Give Song” is playing on 105.5-WMMM. For more information
on donating to Goodwill or to listen to “The Give Song”, go to
