Gov. Doyle: To Participate in Grand Opening for New Roundy’s Commissary in Kenosha

Governor Jim Doyle will participate in the grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting for the new Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. food manufacturing facility tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Kenosha. When fully operational, this facility is expected to employ between 100-150 employees.

Governor Doyle will be joined by Bob Mariano, Chairman and CEO, Roundy’s, Inc., Kenosha County Executive Al Kehl, Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian. Group tours will take place following the ceremony.

The design and plans for the facility were completed in November 2004, and construction began in February 2005. The new commissary is a state of the art food production facility that employs the latest technology and equipment available to the food processing industry. The commissary is currently producing ice and bottled water, and additional product lines will be added throughout 2006.
