Cardinal Bar Hosts Lucky Party on St. Patrick’s Day
MADISON, Wis. (March 2, 2006) – St. Patrick will be smiling down on Madison single professionals looking for a lucky pot-of-love. Flirting In The City for the first time moves to a Friday to make singles efforts to find a match golden with an evening of mini-dates on March 17th at the end of the rainbow, the Cardinal Bar in downtown Madison.
Speed dating is the latest alternative to the Madison bar scene where an even number of men and women have a series of a dozen or so dates lasting a few minutes each. A bell rings at the end of each date and the men move to the next numbered table.
“First dates can be so uncomfortable,” stated Kristi Moe, Flirting in the City founder and event promoter. “Instead of wasting a Saturday night with unpleasant company, you can invest in your weekends with an evening of pre-dating where you can tell straight away if there’s any chemistry and potential for a first date. If you don’t hit it off, you are literally saved by the bell and ready for the next potential match! If you do hit it off, you can test the waters without pressure.”
Flirting In The City events have shown a 90% match rate, higher than the nationwide average of 80%. The date safe alternative ensures no contact information is exchanged and lifts fear of rejection keeping conversations comfortable without pressure. Attendee’s will check yes or no next to each date’s name on a guest list provided. Within 48 hours of the event, attendees will receive an email listing their mutual matches and contact information. It will then be up to the attendees to contact their mutual match for a future date.
Flirting In The City will hold their next speed dating event on Friday, March 17 in downtown Madison on 418 E. Wilson St. Space is limited. Age ranges include 21-55 year-olds.
