Second New Venture Center Building Opens

MADISON, Wis. (August 1, 2006) – A brand-new building built specifically to meet technology company needs will welcome GenTel Biosciences, Inc., a privately-held life sciences company, when they move to Fitchburg Technology Campus this November.

The latest addition to the New Venture Center complex was completed in July and already houses anchor tenant Imago Scientific and The Madison Group.

“The flexibility of the New Venture Center building design means our space will be able to change with us as our needs as a growing company change,” said Alex Vodenlich, president and CEO of GenTel BioSciences. “The expertise the staff of Fitchburg Technology Campus has shown makes us confident we will enjoy our future home.”

GenTel BioSciences, who will occupy 4,500 square feet of the building, currently employs fourteen people but expects to add up to six more employees in the two years following their move.

“We are very excited to add a company with experienced management team, world class science, and existing sales,” said Chris Armstrong, leasing and development director of Fitchburg Technology Campus. “GenTel BioSciences builds on the cluster of biotech and nanotech companies located at the New Venture Center .”

Recently, the National Institutes of Health awarded GenTel BioSciences a $1.2 million Phase II SBIR grant to develop a test for respiratory allergies that promises to be rapid and less painful.
