Program Also Scores Well With Contractor Partners in Survey
Businesses across Wisconsin are pleased to be cutting their energy costs by implementing energy efficiency into their day-to-day operations and they have Focus on Energy’s Business Programs to thank. The program scored in the mid-ninety percent range in all categories of a recent satisfaction survey for its customers in the commercial and industrial facilities, schools and government buildings, and farms and rural businesses categories.
Among those surveyed, the program achieved a 94 percent satisfaction response for both its education and training workshops, as well as its Energy Advisors program in which energy experts who work directly with the customer.
“Governor Doyle has committed Wisconsin to being a national leader in energy-efficiency, and we’re proud to have the Focus on Energy program lead the way,” said Kimberly Walker, administrator of the Division of Energy. “The measures implemented through these businesses’ work with Focus on Energy is proof positive that Wisconsin’s energy-efficiency and renewable energy initiative is working to improving corporate bottom lines across the state at a remarkable success rate.”
The Focus on Energy program is also helping to improve business practices for contractors who provide energy-efficient and renewable energy products and services. Contractor partner response in the survey included 86 percent satisfaction with projects most recently completed, 84 percent satisfaction with education and training programs, and an 87 percent positive response to the performance of the Energy Advisor assigned to their projects.
“The result of the survey confirms that the work we are doing is making a difference for Wisconsin,” said Ed Carroll, program manager for Focus on Energy’s Business Programs. “We knew all along that we were getting good things done here in Wisconsin but this truly puts into perspective how strong the program is and what it can accomplish.”
