BPM, Inc. to Expand in Peshtigo

MADISON – Department of Commerce Secretary Mary Burke today announced that BPM, Inc., Peshtigo, Marinette County will receive $290,000 in Enterprise Development Zone (EDZ) tax credits from Commerce to help with an expansion project. The total project cost is $5,000,000 and the project will create 58 jobs and retain 95 jobs.


 


“The decision by BPM, Inc. to expand its operations to increase its capacity is good news for Wisconsin,” said Secretary Burke. “I applaud the company for retaining the former Badger Paper Mill jobs and creating new jobs for the area. We are pleased to be helping BPM move forward and continue to invest in Wisconsin‘s workforce.”


 


BPM, Inc. was formed in November of 2005 to acquire the assets of the former Badger Paper Mills in Peshtigo and Oconto Falls. The company specializes in specialty printed paper and waxed paper for a number of industries. The tax credits will be used to facilitate the creation of the 58 new full-time positions in conjunction with the expansion and purchase of a new boiler system and electrical, water and pressure plant modifications to accommodate it.
