100% of Proceeds to Benefit FSRC

MADISON, Wis. – June 1, 2006 – Family FunFest 2006 will take place June
17th at the Capital Brewery from Noon to 4pm, with 100% of proceeds
benefiting the Family Support & Resource Center.  Hosted by the Madison
chapter of the American Marketing Association, this year’s event features live
karaoke by the Gomers, brewery tours, and plenty of family activities
including face painting, balloons and goody bag giveaways, as well as area
mascots walking around for the kids. Major sponsors of the event are TDS
and Capital Brewery.

“AMA Madison wanted to show our support for the community in a family-
friendly and fun way, and thought Capital Brewery’s bier garten combined
with live music and kid-friendly fun would be a great way for families to enjoy
a summer afternoon! Besides being fun, it’s a great opportunity to come out
and support FSRC,” says Jen Barnum, Madison AMA Vice President.

A silent auction will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm featuring many exciting items,
including a Treasure Island Hotel & Waterpark Family Package, Mt. Olympus
Water & Theme Park Passes, Capital Brewery Beer For a Year Package,
exclusive American Girl Doll, and gift certificates to many area businesses,
including Hawk’s Landing. Admission to the festival is free, and food and
drinks will be available for purchase.

The Family Support and Resource Center (FSRC) is a local non-profit
organization that helps Dane County families who are raising children with
developmental disabilities at home.  FSRC offers programs that provide short-
term in-home care, financial assistance, case management and community
inclusion services to Dane County families. The FSRC currently has a 5 year
waiting list of over 200 families that wish to receive even the most basic of
services.
