Accelerate Madison Expands

Madison, WI – October 26, 2006, Telecommunications Professionals of
Wisconsin – Madison Chapter (TPW-Madison) has agreed to consolidate its
membership with Accelerate Madison to join forces with Accelerate
Madison’s broad reach in the information technology marketplace.
This joining of forces reflects the increasingly blurred line between the
telecommunications sector and the information technology sector across
operations in companies of all sizes and in every sector of the regional,
national and world economy.

The Madison technology community will now benefit from a broader, more
diverse organization connecting people and information technology in the
greater Madison area.

Accelerate Madison welcomes more than 50 members and the addition of three
new board members from TPW-Madison.  The three new board members of
Accelerate Madison are:  Suzanne Godfrey, Sales Training Manager, Norlight
Telecommunications; Beverly Lindquist, Assistant Vice
President-Information Systems, Wisconsin Public Power, Inc. (WPPI); and
Colleen Slattery, National Accounts Manager, North American Communications
Resource, Inc.

“The joining of forces of TPW-Madison and Accelerate Madison represents a
good strategic move that will allow us to capitalize on the strengths of
both organizations in a way that will benefit our combined membership and
community,” said Beverly Lindquist of WPPI.

Accelerate Madison strives to produce events addressing nationally
relevant topics, featuring influential senior executive market leaders as
speakers.  Upcoming events, which are open to the general public,
underscore this focus:

Nov. 2, From Buying Goods Online to Borrowing Them:  LandsEnd.com,
Nordstrom.com, and Bag Borrow or Steal
Speaker Michael J. Smith will reveal how new applications of technology
can create durable, high-growth online retailing businesses at Overture
Center, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Dec. 14, Convergence of Technologies

convergence at Fluno Center, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

“Accelerate Madison welcomes the membership and participation of
TPW-Madison with enthusiasm.  We remain focused on bringing vitality and
value to the evolving technology landscape and a growing membership,” said
Jan Moen, executive director of Accelerate Madison.  “All participants
will now benefit from a more diverse set of backgrounds and experiences at
the networking and educational events hosted by our organization.”

Accelerate Madison, a nonprofit membership organization, is forming
connections among Madison’s information technology community, resulting in
a more capable, informed, and competitive technology sector.
