Iowans will have the opportunity to learn more about where 2006 gubernatorial candidates Congressman Jim Nussle (R) and Secretary of State Chet Culver (D) stand on the issues of health care at a forum and panel discussion on Oct. 11 at Drake University in Des Moines .
The non-partisan event is being convened by the National Health Policy Council (NHPC), the National Coalition on Health Care (NCHC) and AARP, and will take place from 2-5 p.m. at Drake University ’s Sheslow Auditorium. It is the second in a series of three events featuring key governor races to be held across the country.
Both Republican Gubernatorial candidate Congressman Jim Nussle and Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Secretary of State Chet Culver will present their views on improving health care access, affordability and quality for all Iowans. The event also includes a panel discussion with health policy experts analyzing health care issues in Iowa .
