WMEP: announces new staff

MADISON, Wis. – Russell Jordan and Douglas Bengson have joined the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP) as manufacturing specialists.

In this role, they will provide consulting services and technical expertise to help small and mid-size manufacturers become more competitive.

Jordan, a 30-year veteran of manufacturing, most recently served as senior vice president of operations for a global multi-plant and multi-product food ingredient company. His career focus has been on the development and execution of operations strategies. He is a passionate advocate for applying lean tools to achieve operational excellence in customer-focused companies. Jordan, a resident of Oconomowoc, holds a bachelor’s of science degree in microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He will be based in Milwaukee and work with SE Wisconsin manufacturers.

Bengson brings nearly 20 years of experience in the automotive, heavy truck and petrochemical industries to his new position. He has worked in engineering and project management, and has experience doing business in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and South America. Throughout his career, Bengson has been involved in process improvement initiatives such as cycle time reduction, supplier development, Six Sigma and quality systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University and did post-graduate work at Wayne State University. Bengson is an Appleton resident and will work with NE Wisconsin manufacturers.
