A news conference will be held at NOON, WEDNESDAY OCT. 19 at Madison’s Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, One John Nolen Drive, to release a report on key indicators in Wisconsin’s technology-based economy.
The report was commissioned by the Wisconsin Technology Council as a follow-up to the Tech Council’s 2002 report, “Vision 2020: A Model Wisconsin Economy,” which set goals for the state’s tech-based economic performance. “Vision 2020” can be viewed on the Tech Council’s website at www.wisconsintechnologycouncil.com/publications
Dr. David J. Ward, president of NorthStar Economics, and Tom Still, president of the Tech Council, will be on hand Wednesday to discuss the report and answer questions about data relating to Wisconsin’s performance in three areas – intellectual property, high-tech jobs and research and development funding.
The news conference will be held during the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium, also at Monona Terrace.
