MADISON — The Wisconsin Angel Network, a division of the Wisconsin Technology Council, is hosting the day-long seminar “Power of Angel Investing” at the Monona Terrace in Madison on October 19 as part of the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium.

The Power of Angel Investing is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of angel investing for private investors with limited or no angel investment experience. The seminar is offered in a “protected environment”, without solicitations from service providers and entrepreneurs looking for angel financing. Space is limited and open to accredited investors only.

The seminar is designed by the Kauffman Foundation’s Angel Capital Association and is lead by John May, founder and managing partner of New Vantage Group, a Vienna, Virginia-based firm that creates innovative channels to direct private equity into early- stage companies. John is a leader in angel investing and is recognized as an authority in early stage capital.

Sponsors of the Power of Angel Investing are: Foley & Lardner LLP, Grant Thorton LLP, and the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions
