Former Cobalt CEO Tom Hefty was introduced this morning as Waukesha County’s interim county executive. County Board Chair Jim Dwyer, the current acting executive, said Hefty’s experience at all levels of government would help him in the job.
If his nomination is approved by the city council, the plan is for him to serve from his Sept. 27 confirmation through the swearing-in of the new county executive after next month’s election. Dwyer is facing state Rep. Dan Vrakas in that race.
