Nationally Known Expert Gina Carter Heads Team

MADISON – Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, S.C., announced today that attorney
Gina Carter will head the firm’s newly-established credit union practice team.
WHD’s expansion is in response to a growing credit union industry, where
regulations have changed to allow credit unions to expand their reach
geographically and to offer new product lines, such as business lending.

“As credit unions grow, their need for new legal services increases
proportionately,” said Carter. “They require a broader range of legal services
than ever before. Until now, those needs were not being entirely met. At
Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, we’ve established a team with the depth and
experience needed to meet those needs. I’m thrilled about this challenge.”

To meet the challenge, Carter has organized a team of attorneys in
Milwaukee and Madison with expertise in credit union governance,
employment, real estate, intellectual property (IP), information technology
(IT), vendor contract review, financial regulation and consumer and
commercial finance.

“Carter’s legal skills and recognized expertise working with credit unions
positions our credit union practice group for rapid growth,” said Mark Miller,
CEO, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek (WHD). “She has a thorough, hands-on
knowledge of the industry.”

Carter has extensive experience representing national and local credit clients
including dozens of credit unions, several credit union trade associations and
credit union service organizations, such as credit union-owned mortgage and
auto financing companies. Among the major organizations she currently
represents the Credit Union Executive Society and the World Council of Credit
Unions.

“Gina is well-known and well-respected at all levels of the industry,” said
Jerard Jensen, managing partner of WHD’s Madison office. “She knows the
credit union industry and the people involved in it. Having her head this
practice area is a definite win for Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek.”

For more than 60 years, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, S.C. has played a leading
role in shaping the political, economic and legal landscapes in Wisconsin
guiding their clients to successful outcomes. The firm, with offices in
Milwaukee, Madison and Manitowoc, has over 140 attorneys and paralegals
practicing over 30 areas of law.
