Who, What and Why?

One of the nation’s top wellness experts will be in Madison Wednesday
discussing wellness programs and their impact on business health care costs
and profitability.

Prof. D.W. Edington, from the University of Michigan who has written 450
articles and several books, including The One Minute Manager Gets Fit, will
discuss how wellness programs work and the return on investment for
businesses that utilize them.

Note to editors: Edington speaks at 9 a.m. at a day-long conference devoted
to wellness strategies that improve employee health and reduce health costs.
The conference begins at 8:30 with remarks from Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton and
WEA Trust Executive Director Alan Jacobs. DHFS Sec. Helene Nelson will speak
at noon.
