MADISON, MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – The law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Mark T. Ehrmann has joined the firm as a partner and will lead the firm’s Private Equity/Venture Capital practice in Madison. Ehrmann joins the Corporate Services Practice Group and will work out of the firm’s Madison office.

Prior to joining Quarles, Ehrmann served as a shareholder with Godfrey & Kahn, S.C., and chair of that firm’s Emerging 100 Program for entrepreneurs. Overall, Ehrmann has spent 20 years representing private and public companies in various industries. He has worked with a number of start-up and emerging companies and their investors by assisting them with forming their companies, completing agreements among founders and employees, protecting intellectual property and securing angel and venture capital financing. In addition to his emerging companies practice, he has represented established companies and their owners and investors in domestic and international stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, mergers and other corporate reorganizations and public and private financings and in connection with other general business matters.
Ehrmann earned a bachelor of arts degree with honors in economics and a law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he served as a writer and editor for The International Law Journal. He also serves as an officer and director of a number of nonprofit organizations and is a member of several bar associations, including the American Bar Association and the bars of the states of Wisconsin and Illinois.
A Wauwatosa native, Ehrmann is relocating with his wife and two daughters to Madison.
