Platypus Technologies, LLC has received a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant for $1.6 million from the National Institute for General Medical Sciences. The grant is to continue development of the company’s proprietary liquid crystal based technology to enable faster screening of drugs for treatment of cancer. Platypus Technologies has received over $9.5 million in SBIR funding to develop nanotechnology products for the physical and life sciences. The Company has 17 employees and is located in the Fitchburg Technology Campus.
