Milwaukee, WI (April 21, 2005) – John D. Finerty, Jr., a partner with Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, has been appointed chair of the Civil Litigation Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association for a term ending in 2006.
Finerty has served as co-chair of the Section since December 2004. The Milwaukee Bar Association has more than 2600 members. The Litigation Section is the Milwaukee Bar Association’s largest practice group.
Finerty is a member of the Litigation Practice Group of Michael Best. He has extensive experience in complex litigation involving labor and employment matters including more than a dozen first-chair jury and bench trials in state and federal court. In addition, he has tried more than 50 labor arbitrations and administrative hearings before state and federal government agencies.
