FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Milwaukee, WI (July 27, 2005) – Monica M. Riederer, a litigation attorney at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, Milwaukee, was recently elected President of the Waukesha County affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Riederer has been an active member of the affiliate since her return to Wisconsin three years ago, and has held Board positions since becoming a member. Riederer is also the founder of the Milwaukee chapter of Buildable Hours, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organization of law firms committing financial and physical resources to build homes with local Habitat for Humanity organizations for deserving families.

Her commitment to both Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha, Inc. and Buildable Hours is evident in her efforts in forging a relationship between the two organizations, which has raised nearly $35,000 and has scheduled numerous build days staffed with members of local law firms.

“The two organizations were a perfect fit,” stated Ms. Riederer, “I hope that my involvement will help both organizations continue to grow and make a significant impact in the availability of safe, affordable housing in Waukesha County.”
