FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MILWAUKEE (September 13, 2005) – Hoffman York won an award for their television public service announcement (PSA) produced for the Keep Wisconsin Warm Fund (KWWF). The PSA features Governor Jim Doyle urging Wisconsin residents to contribute to the KWWF, a voluntary, community-based program that keeps the heat and power on for thousands of families in crisis. Hoffman York’s first place award, in the television PSA category, was presented at the National Fuel Funds Network (NFFN) 2005 National Media Fair in conjunction with NFFN’s 21st Annual Conference in Phoenix. The annual national competition is open to network members.

The PSA was created to generate awareness, and funds, for the thousands of residents who are vulnerable during Wisconsin’s harsh winters – families, children and the elderly – and often choose between eating and heating to survive. In addition to Governor Doyle, the PSA features images of at- risk families, children and elderly. The spots were created for the 2004-05 Wisconsin winter season and broke statewide in January 2005.

Hoffman York was recognized for creative excellence in 2005 with an O’Toole runner-up award.
