Shareholder had chaired firm’s estate planning practice
Milwaukee, WI (June 1, 2005)… The law firm of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. mourns the loss of Robert L. Kamholz Jr., who passed away on Saturday, May 28. Kamholz was a shareholder and chairperson of the firm’s Estate and Financial Planning Practice Group. He had been with Godfrey & Kahn for more than 26 years.
“Bob will be deeply missed. He was respected by his peers and was a good friend to all of us,” said Rick Bliss, Managing Partner. “His intellect was matched only by his common sense and desire to help.”
Kamholz completed his preparatory education at Illinois Wesleyan University, receiving his undergraduate degree in political science, summa cum laude. He was awarded his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan, where he was a senior editor of the Michigan Law Review. He was listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the trusts and estates category and in Who’s Who in American Law. Kamholz served as chair of the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Section, and was a director of the Milwaukee Estate Planning Council, Ltd.
