Gentel Biosurfaces: Robert Negm Joins Gentel Biosurfaces

MADISON, WIS. – GenTel BioSurfaces, Inc., a privately held UW-Madison
biotechnology spin-off, announced today that it has appointed Robert S.
Negm, Ph.D. to the position of Vice President, Business Development.

Dr. Negm will be responsible for GenTel’s global marketing, sales and
business development efforts. “Robert is a key addition to our team. His
experience in protein biochip product development, in establishing
distribution partnerships and in developing business strategies within the
protein chip market is extremely valuable to our organization. He will be
instrumental in taking GenTel to the next level,” said Alex Vodenlich,
President and CEO.

scientific contacts and experience in the protein microarray market further
augments the company’s depth of life science leadership experience.

Dr. Negm comes to GenTel from Whatman Schleicher & Schuell BioScience, Inc.,
located in Keene, NH, where he served as the Director of Business
Development. Prior to his tenure at Whatman, Dr. Negm served as a Program
Director with the National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes
of Health in Rockville, MD.
