BROOKFIELD WI, USA—The Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) announced that the PrepareTrainingSM program will be held June 6-10, 2005 at the Marriott Madison West Hotel in Middleton, near Madison, WI. This training opportunity will focus on strategies for maintaining safe and respectful environments in service-oriented workplaces. Strategies taught in CPI’s PrepareTrainingSM program help employees recognize developing crisis situations and assist in reducing the frequency and severity of these situations, increasing employee confidence and morale.
When implemented, principles of the program create workplace cultures based on Respect, Service and Safety at Work SM. The program’s proven intervention techniques give employees the confidence and competence to manage anger, conflict, hostility—even violence—in the workplace, and keep everyone safe in the process.
Since 1980, the CPI has delivered training programs and resources to promote prevention and safe management of disruptive or aggressive behavior. To date, more than 5 million individuals have participated in training programs developed by CPI.
