Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin: Appoints Steve Martenet Vice President and General Manager, Large Group Division

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin (BCBSWi) today
announced the appointment of Steve Martenet as vice president and
general manager, large group division. Reporting directly to BCBSWi
president, Stuart K. Campbell, Martenet is responsible for the
sales, marketing, underwriting and product development functions for
BCBSWi’s large group accounts with 51+ employees. Martenet will also
oversee Claim Management Services, Inc. (CMS), BCBSWi’s stand alone
third party administration entity.

“Steve will be instrumental in determining and meeting the needs of
customers in our large group segment,” said Campbell. “His
extensive experience will be a valuable asset to our team as we work
to further strengthen our presence in the marketplace and continue
to deliver superior products and distinctive services.”

Martenet has 14 years experience in the health insurance industry
and has served in a variety of management roles. Most recently,
Martenet served as regional vice president of sales for Anthem Blue
Cross and Blue Shield in Kentucky and vice president of sales for
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio. Under Steve’s direction,
Kentucky Group Sales has grown to close to 1.3 million members. He
has also been instrumental in developing and implementing sales and
distribution channel strategies designed to enhance the companies’
effectiveness in the marketplace.

Martenet is a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio
with a bachelor’s degree in business. He has completed Executive
Education courses at Indiana University Kelly School of Business,
Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business, and the University of
Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. Steve and his wife Denice
have three children.
