Allan Weisensel joins Bielinski Homes as controller

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Bielinski Homes today announced that Peter W. Collins has been promoted from controller to chief financial officer and that Allan Weisensel, who has been a consultant with the company since 2003, has joined the company as its controller.

“As controller, Peter Collins has been instrumental in implementing new financial strategies for Bielinski Homes,” said Frank Bielinski, chief executive officer of Bielinski Homes’ Home-building Division. “We are confident that as CFO, he will continue to be a key component in the success of our organization. His leadership and dedication are inspirational to our talented team of professionals.”

As CFO, Collins will focus on the financial management, land acquisition and development, and home-building operations of the company.

Collins has been with Bielinski Homes since 2003, and he has more than 15 years of accounting and strategic finance experience including work for publicly held Fortune 500 companies.

In 2004, Collins was selected by the Institute of Management Accountants and Robert Half International as the “Financial Executive of the Year” for the Mid-America region. Collins was recognized for transforming the reputation of the accounting and finance department from a bill-paying department to that of a proactive partner in the home-building process. In addition, Collins has created a financial reporting system that provides proper monetary controls as well as conveys timely financial information to operations.

Collins earned his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and an undergraduate degree in Accounting from DePaul University.

As controller, Weisensel, will oversee the departments of Accounting and Information Technology. A CPA and CPIM (APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management), Weisensel comes to Bielinski Homes with 20 years of experience in financial systems and operational and strategic management. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Founded in 1960 by brothers Harry and Frank Bielinski, Bielinski Homes has 45 years of experience in new home construction in the southeastern Wisconsin market, and employs 120 new home-building professionals. The company, based in Waukesha, specializes in building single-family homes and condominiums, and offers a variety of home designs, from starter to luxury.
