Madison, WI. Laura S. Peck has joined Madison law firm Axley Brynelson, LLP as a partner. She comes to the firm to take a key role in further expanding Axley’s Business Practice Group, focusing in the areas of real estate and lending law, business law and insurance law. Ms. Peck offers almost 20 years of experience in the real estate and insurance industry where she completed a broad range of business transactions. Her real estate experience includes real estate financings, purchases and sales, development and leasing on a national basis. She has served as general counsel of a Madison-based national insurance company, representing the company in all types of legal matters. Her insurance law experience includes insurance company merger and acquisition transactions and insurance regulatory and compliance matters.
Ms. Peck is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and Connecticut. She received a B.A. from the University of Connecticut, magna cum laude, in 1982, and her law degree from the University of Connecticut, with high honors, in 1985. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Business Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections, the State Bar of Wisconsin and Connecticut, the Dane County Bar Association and the Legal Association for Women. She is also a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network and a founding member of Wisconsin CREW.
