CHICAGO– AT&T announced today it has won a two-year, $4.8 million networking services contract from Chicago-based Hyatt Select LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Hyatt Corp.

Under the contract, AT&T will provide a portfolio of data, voice and Internet services integrating the 146 Hyatt Place properties across the country. The AT&T solution also paves the way for Hyatt Select to evolve to a converged voice and data-networking platform by deploying Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services in the future.

“AT&T offered us a high-quality solution that complied with our aggressive network integration plan and timeline for Hyatt Place,” said Tom O’Toole, senior vice president, strategy and systems for Global Hyatt Corp. “AT&T’s networking expertise and reliability allows us to focus on our core business of serving our customers by providing them with the best experiences and accommodations we can.”
Through the secure AT&T BusinessDirect portal, Global Hyatt Corp. properties gain around-the-clock online access to real-time reports on network performance and direct connection to electronic billing and trouble management systems. AT&T BusinessDirect was recently recognized by the Yankee Group for providing customers with the strongest online support and service experience in the industry.
