First-of-Its-Kind Internet Security Webcast Delivers Critical Information to Enterprises

BEDMINSTER, N.J., Dec. 14, 2005 — AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today unveiled AT&T Internet Security News Network (AT&T ISNN), a first-of-its-kind 24/7 video Webcast that provides enterprises with critical security news and information, helping them to stay abreast of the latest security issues and remain one step ahead of malicious activities proliferating on the Internet.

AT&T ISNN is exclusively available to subscribers of the company’s flagship alerting and monitoring service, AT&T Internet ProtectSM. The news network delivers up-to-date information from security experts and forensic analysts directly to subscribers’ desktops, around the clock. AT&T ISNN also provides live emergency broadcasts as security attacks occur, keeping customers informed until the event is resolved.

Enterprises, in turn, benefit from AT&T’s unique approach to network-based security designed to give them advanced warning of attacks, such as worms and viruses, before they wreak havoc on their businesses.

“We are creating a new standard in Internet security that demands critical, up-to-the-minute intelligence delivered directly to the customer’s desktop,” said Ed Amoroso, vice president and chief security officer at AT&T Inc. “AT&T ISNN is designed to help users understand potential threats and to help them better protect themselves.”

AT&T ISNN’s twice-daily news updates on the latest Internet security and network issues allow enterprises to spend less time searching for information and more time preventing threats from entering their environment. In addition to the newscasts, AT&T will include a lecture series, training and expert interviews.

“Businesses and government entities need a variety of sources of information to be alerted to emerging threats and AT&T ISNN is one source of information with industry-leading experts regarding potential threats.” said William Pelgrin, Director of NYS Office of Cyber Security & Critical Infrastructure Coordination and Chair of the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center.”

AT&T ISNN enhances the company’s robust portfolio of managed security services, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, denial of service capabilities, and token authentication. The company also provides a wide range of consulting and design services, such as risk analysis, vulnerability assessments and ethical hacking.

“With the launch of AT&T ISNN, AT&T has once again demonstrated their expertise in the enterprise security market,” says Zeus Kerravala, Vice President at Yankee Group. “AT&T continues to innovate to address the security needs of businesses operating globally. AT&T ISNN brings the intelligence of the AT&T network to customers when and where they need it in a knowledgeable, engaging format.”
