Madison, WI – Speaking to the American Marketing Association on Tuesday, February 8th will be Daryl Travis, frequent speaker and author of “Emotional Branding: How Successful Brands Gain the Irrational Edge,” will offer senior marketers attending an AMA meeting a short course in “brain surgery.” Using a case history approach, Mr. Travis will help senior marketers understand new ways to interpret and more importantly, influence consumer behavior. A unique methodology, called Emotional Research, helps determine how human emotions, not consumer behavior patterns, affect buying decisions and image perception. Conventional research can only tell us so much, but understanding human emotions can make a brand flourish or fail.

The Madison Chapter of the American Marketing Association meets at The Clarion Suites at 2110 Rimrock Road. The February 8th meeting will start registration at 11:30; the speaker will start at Noon. Cost for members is $20; cost for non-members is $40. Please join us by emailing reserve@amamadison.org.

The American Marketing Association, one of the largest professional associations for marketers, has 38,000 members worldwide in every area of marketing. For over six decades the AMA has been an essential resource providing relevant marketing information that experienced marketers turn to everyday. The Madison chapter was formed in 1961 and currently retains over 150 members.
