MILWAUKEE – (September 7, 2005) – In the wake of hurricane Katrina, many Americans are coming forward with an outpouring of support for victims on the Gulf Coast. Monetary and food donations are arriving, but there is yet another way to help. Business travelers can assist in the Katrina relief efforts by donating their frequent flyer miles.

The frequent flyer miles contributed can assist the airlines in getting more relief workers to the affected areas so that they can provide support and supplies to the victims of Katrina. This unique donation is a quick and easy way to make an important impact for the relief efforts. “Many business travelers have excess miles that often go unused. Redistributing their miles is a perfect way to show their support for the Gulf Coast victims and relief workers,” said Doris Reiss, regional vice president for Adelman Travel Group in the company’s Hartford office. Adelman Travel Group, with headquarters in Milwaukee, Wis., will be placing a reminder on all Adelman Travel itineraries through the month of September urging travelers to donate miles for the cause.
