MILWAUKEE, April 27, 2004 – Extending its leadership in delivering the most choices and best value in broadband Internet service, SBC Communications Inc. (NYSE: SBC) today announced the return of its most popular promotional pricing for SBC Yahoo! DSL: $26.95 a month when ordered online or through retail outlets. (Other monthly charges apply; see below.)
The offer was first introduced in October 2003 on a limited basis and has also been available for customers who subscribe to SBC Total Connections, a premium SBC bundle which includes local and long distance services, call management features and wireless service.
Now, the new price promotion is also available to any new residential SBC customer who orders online at sbc.com, or at any of the more than 2,000 retail outlets where SBC Yahoo! DSL service is offered.
Additionally, to simplify choices for customers and make it even more convenient for them to personalize their SBC Yahoo! DSL service, SBC Internet Services now offers two levels of speed offerings, designed to meet customers’ bandwidth and budget needs. Customers can choose from:
· SBC Yahoo! DSL Express: Offered for as low as $26.95 a month, the standard SBC Yahoo! DSL service, with speeds of 384 Kbps – 1.5 Mbps x 128 Kbps, provides plenty of capacity for activities like surfing the Web, sending e-mail messages and online shopping.
· SBC Yahoo! DSL Pro: Starting as low as $36.99 a month, this new flagship package delivers up to twice the bandwidth with 1.5 – 3.0 Mbps x 384 – 416 Kbps. (Other monthly charges apply; see below.) It’s ideal for downloading music, streaming video, playing online games, and sending and receiving large files.
