Platypus Technologies has received a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant for $400,000 from the National Cancer Institute. The grant is to develop a new liquid-crystal based technology for rapid quantification of protein activity, useful for cancer research. Platypus Technologies was founded in 2000 to develop nanotechnology products for the physical and life sciences. The Company has 20 employees and is located in the University Research Park.
