Dept. of Commerce: Governor Doyle Appoints Eugene ‘Pepi’ Randolph to Lead Forward Wisconsin

Governor Jim Doyle and the Forward Wisconsin Board of
Directors today announced the appointment of Eugene “Pepi” Randolph,
Madison, as president of Forward Wisconsin, Inc., the state’s external
marketing arm.

“Pepi Randolph brings a comprehensive business background to
this position, with particular strengths in sales, marketing, negotiation,
and finance,” Governor Doyle said. “He will be an asset to my economic
development team as we work to attract family supporting jobs, solid
companies, and talented professionals to Wisconsin.”

Prior to his appointment, Randolph served as assistant vice
president, investment division, at M&I Bank in Milwaukee. From 1991-2003,
he was assistant general counsel for the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club,
with duties such as the drafting and negotiation of TV/Cable/Internet rights
agreements, sponsorship, and promotional agreements. He was a top sales
performer at both Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble. Randolph earned
his law degree from the UW-Madison Law School and holds Bachelor of Arts
degrees in history and journalism from UW- Madison. He has served on the
boards of numerous organizations, including the University Athletic Board
and the Greater Milwaukee Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Randolph replaces Michael Armiak, who will join the
Department of Commerce to spearhead an effort to market the department’s
programs and services.

Created in 1984, Forward Wisconsin is a unique
public-private state marketing organization. Its job is marketing
Wisconsin’s business advantages outside the state to educate decision-makers
on the positive benefits of living, working, playing, and doing business in
Wisconsin. Governor Doyle is Forward Wisconsin’s Chairman of the Board.
