Project will bring up to 450 jobs to Wisconsin

PLEASANT PRAIRIE-Gov. Jim Doyle today welcomed Hospira, Inc. to Wisconsin.
Department of Commerce Secretary Cory L. Nettles attended the ceremony on
behalf of the Governor at the company’s new facility in Pleasant Prairie.

“I am pleased to welcome Hospira to Wisconsin for the beginning of a long
and successful public-private partnership,” Gov. Doyle said. “My Grow
Wisconsin plan calls for establishing a business climate that will foster
the creation of family-supporting jobs across Wisconsin. This project will
bring up to 450 jobs to Wisconsin.”

“Hospira’s Pleasant Prairie site holds great strategic importance for our
company,” said Christopher B. Begley, chief executive officer, Hospira.
“Several important employee groups work at this location, including our
Customer Care and Midwest Distribution Center operations – both of which are
critical to our ability to serve our hospital customers. We are honored to
join Secretary Nettles and other dignitaries to celebrate the occupancy of
our facilities in Pleasant Prairie.”
