MADISON – Housing advocates, housing aid recipients, and housing related organizations will want to attend the roundtable discussion in Menomonie at the Council Chambers at 800 Wilson Ave. on Wednesday, June 16 from 2 – 4 p.m.

“These sessions will give Wisconsin residents the chance to identify where resources and priorities should be directed to meet local housing, community and economic development needs,” said Department of Commerce (Commerce) Secretary Cory L. Nettles.

The five-year consolidated plan covers the use of $50 million annually through state and federally funded programs for housing, community, and economic development projects.

The development of the Consolidated Plan is intended to be a collaborative process where all levels of government, public and private agencies, private industry and citizens participate in crafting a comprehensive approach to addressing affordable housing and local development needs. The discussion is open to community members willing to share and discuss issues, concerns, and opinions about local housing, community and economic development needs.

This will be the first of seven statewide roundtable discussions held during June.
