Bachmann Construction: Groundbreaking October 24 for LaFayette Fuel Plaza and Burger King

Bachmann Construction, Madison, will break ground October 24 at 10 a.m. to signify the start of the LaFayette Fuel Plaza, which includes an extensive fuel station, truckers amenities and Burger King at the northeast corner of Highway 43 and Highway 11, Town of LaFayette. The developer and owner, Baljit (BJ) Gill, will also grab a shovel, as well as several Walworth County dignataries. Gill sold his BJ’s BP in Mukwanago in 2015 and will concentrate full time at the LaFayette Fuel Plaza. The 8000 square foot building, adjacent to AM Towing and Repair, is expected to open next May or June, according to Bachmann, construction managers.

Amenities for truckers include laundry facilities, showers, groceries, grab and go food, clothing, gifts, trucker accessories and more. There will be four gas dispensers and five diesel dispensers, with parking for 60 trucks. The 5400 square foot fuel station, open 24/7, will employ 14-16 full and part time staff.

Burger King, will occupy 2600 square feet of space, with seating for 55 people plus drive through service. Burger King will employ 30 full and part-time staff and will be open from 6 a.m. until midnight.
