Lake Geneva, Wis. – Black Point Estate and Gardens, one of the twelve Wisconsin Historical Society sites and museums, is rolling back the curtains and giving guests a glimpse into the lifestyle of Chicago’s successful beer baron, Conrad Siepp, in the “Nooks and Crannies” tour this summer. The tour provides access to restricted areas of the Estate, including the basement, third floor, a view of the beautiful spiral tower staircase, and root cellar.
“This tour gives guests a look at some of the behind the scenes areas of the Estate that are not normally part of the tour,” said David Desimone, site director at Black Point Estate and Gardens. “We love providing guests with new ways to interact and immerse themselves in the American dream and successful lifestyle as it was experience by beer baron Conrad Siepp and four generations of his descendants.”
The tour was developed to focus on the evolution of technologies that helped provide comfort at Black Point over the last 125 years. The “Nooks and Crannies” tour will take place on Fridays, June 16 – September 1 from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. The cost is $44.00 per person and there is considerable walking and stair climbing during the tour so guests should dress accordingly.

Black Point Estate and Gardens is one of twelve historic sites administered by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The estate is a 20 room Queen-Anne style “cottage” built by Chicago beer baron Conrad Seipp with construction completed in 1888. Black Point Estate and Gardens is open for tours from May to October.
