Inspire Sheboygan County Featured in National Publication

Sheboygan, WI – In a recent best-practices guide by Ady Advantage, a leading national site selection and community marketing consulting firm, recognized INSPIRE Sheboygan County, powered by Career Cruising, to be one of six programs highlighted in “The Talent Toolbox for Economic Developers.”

As Sheboygan County’s GDP growth is in the top 20% of the nation and with the strongest job growth in eastern Wisconsin since the great recession, a partnership between local employers and area schools to provide an online connection for job shadows, internships, summer jobs and even scholarships. These interactions are coordinated by INSPIRE Sheboygan County and has blossomed in the abundance of opportunities available to students.

INSPIRE Sheboygan County Executive Director, Nikki Kiss stated, “Although the concept is not unique in the United States, we have the one of highest utilizations in the Nation. Sheboygan County schools do an excellent job of embedding career planning, which drives 10,000 student log-ins per month.” Kiss also noted, “The local employers who partner with INSPIRE continues to grow with 65 companies currently participating.”

With a long history of cooperation, Sheboygan County has become a leader in workforce development programs designed to connect and train individuals to the 2,800+ available jobs within 25 miles of Sheboygan.
