Motorsport Villas of Elkhart Lake breaks ground on region’s first “car condominium” development

Elkhart Lake, USA – Wolf Developments announced today that ground has broken on an innovative community of motoring enthusiast living. Called Motorsport Villas of Elkhart Lake, this is a private, eight-structure, 32 unit customizable residence community with an emphasis on enjoying and housing fine automobiles. The development is located in the Village of Elkhart Lake, just upon entry into the village from the south, and just east of Quit Qui Oc Golf Club.

The “car condominium” concept is not entirely new, but previously has generally been developed in industrial sites in metropolitan locales such as Minneapolis, Kansas City, Detroit and Chicago. Motorsports Villas is nestled in the quaint Village of Elkhart Lake, immediately adjacent to the La Budde Creek State Wildlife Area along the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive. The site was selected due to its picturesque surroundings, and unique access to the prominent local attractions such as Road America and the seemingly never-ending tree-lined curved roads in the area as well as the dining, spas, access to Elkhart Lake, and golfing that is beyond comparison — with nearby Whistling Straits, Black Wolf Run, and The Bull at Pinehurst Farms as centerpieces. “From the beginning, we wanted Elkhart Lake to be the home of the Villas. It provides an unmatched opportunity to merge motorsports, race heritage, and all things motoring with a place for enthusiasts to live and vacation amongst automotive art, as well as stay year-round,” stated Wolf Developments President Bart Wolf. “Motorsports Villas residents will now be part of the continued legacy of the area, whether they enjoy the return of Indy Car racing to Road America, the vintage race car parades, or the Villas’ own events.”

The project was designed by motorsport enthusiasts to appeal to motorsport enthusiasts. Owners have the option of living either full or part time in the Motorsport Villa community. Additionally, owners can create an income opportunity by renting the villa out as they wish. The project is limited to 32 units, and over one-third of the project was sold prior to groundbreaking. More information is available at www.motorsportvillas.com. For a limited time, pre-construction prices will be available for the next phase of development.

Senior lending for the development was provided by Hiawatha National Bank of Sheboygan, Architectural Design was prepared by Abacus Architects of Sheboygan and construction services provided by Quasius Construction, Inc. The project was created, in part, through the development of a tax incremental finance district (TIF) by the Village of Elkhart Lake. Business and financial plan development was facilitated through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UW-Green Bay and Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC).
