MADISON, Wis. (June 10, 2014)— The Madison-based ROUGH Sportswear company has given a $1,000 unrestricted donation to Pathways for Women, a private, not for profit, United Way agency that serves more than 1,200 homeless women and children in Birmingham, AL.

ROUGH CEO Trent Jackson toured the agency’s downtown facility during a trip in early 2014. “I got to see first hand that Pathways is a great organization doing good work for the Birmingham region,” states Jackson. “I was really impressed with the facility, the staff, and all that they do, and decided to help Pathways with one of our give-back gifts. These ROUGH donations are always unrestricted so that the non-profits can use the funds to fill immediate needs or however they see fit.” Pathways’s Development Director Karen Griner reports the money will be used for general operations, which includes the Day Center, a year-round facility that provides hot lunches, showers, clothing, case management and life skills, and educational classes to women and children in need.
