Kahler Slater: Expands Milwaukee staff

MILWAUKEE – Architecture and experience design firm Kahler Slater has added three new members to the Business Environments and Hospitality team in its Milwaukee office. Joseph A. Sinnett and Ethan Skeels have joined the firm as architects. Jeff Kopecky has joined the firm as a senior interior designer.

Sinnett will focus on hospitality and multi-family projects, as well as mixed-use developments. A member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), he joins Kahler Slater from Struc Rite Design Inc. in Waukesha, Wis., where he was a project architect/project manager. He has a Bachelor of Science, Architectural Studies degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). He is a resident of Waukesha, Wis.

Skeels’ focus will be corporate facilities. Previously, he was an associate architect for Hammel, Green and Abrahamson in Milwaukee and an associate with Planning and Design Institute Inc. in Milwaukee. He is a member of AIA and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). An alumnus of UWM, he has Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science, Architectural Studies degrees. He was UWM’s 2011 recipient of the AIA Henry Adams Medal, which honors the top-ranking graduating student in each architecture program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board. He is a Milwaukee resident.

Kopecky will focus his practice on corporate spaces. He comes to Kahler Slater from Hammel, Green and Abrahamson in Milwaukee, where he was an interior architect/designer. Prior to that, he worked for several Chicago firms – Cannon Design (formerly OWP/P), Gensler, Partners by Design Inc. and Hartshorne + Plunkard Ltd. He has LEED CI (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design – Commercial Interiors) credentials and is an associate member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). He has a Bachelor of Architecture – Design degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was a finalist in Interior Design magazine’s 2008 “Best of Year” awards. He is a Milwaukee resident.
